After a Bloomberg story Tuesday said the U.S. Department of Justice has sent a letter to News Corp. about its investigation into the company, Chief Operating Officer Chase Carey denied allegations that any of their employees' phones cut off of 9.11 victims family.

Carey said that "there is nothing we've ever seen" to justify the claim that the Justice Department has been investigating since July.

Carey was appearing at the Goldman Sachs Communicopia Conference, where he responded to questions about newspapers from News Corp. 's British Sky Broadcasting, and the scandal, inevitably, the phone-hacking.

It was reported in July that the Justice Department is investigating a News Corp. to hack the families of 9.11 victims. An investigation of potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act has done well.

Bloomberg's recent history suggested that the Justice Department letter from News Corp. was about to bribe police officers in the United Kingdom, which constitutes a violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The law states that bribe foreign officials is illegal.

The violation of the law has always seemed a stronger case because the family reports of piracy of 11.9 victims still draws a unique story in the Daily Mail

However, this is the scandal that will not die, which led to Ted Turner to predict this week that News Corp. chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch would have to resign.
