Rumors of an Apple TV Shows iOS power have existed for a long, long time now. Each year, we heard the story: "HDTV Apple's manufacturing, which will be announced later this year!" But it just does not happen. This year, however, is a very different story. Why is a different story? Well, because (SPOILER ALERT!) An excerpt from Steve Jobs: Walter Isaacson's biography reveals that Jobs was interested in "integrated TV" and "finally broken" them.

An integrated TV, what we can tell, is basically a high definition television with an integrated Apple IOS-based TV (digital media receiver $ 99). It would be perfectly synchronized with all IOS devices and Apple icloud. Furthermore, it would set a very important element of television today: complex UI and UX horrible. Isaacson says that with the integrated suite of Apple TV, users no longer have to play with complicated controls and that the product would have the "simple user interface you can imagine."

From Washington Post:

Isaacson continued: "I would create a television set that is fully integrated easy to use, he said." It would be perfectly synchronized with all your devices and icloud. No longer would users have to play with complex remote controls for DVD players and cable channels. "It will be simple user interface you can imagine. Finally broke."

Moving on, a new report published today citing analyst Gene Munster, citing a source "close to a component supplier in Asia," which claims that Apple has built prototypes of its integrated TV high definition for a launch in late 2012.

From Apple Insider:

The analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray revealed in a note to investors Monday that a source close to an Asian component supplier said in September that Apple was the construction of prototype models of rumors set.Apple HDTV has " reinvented "three key devices industry consumer electronics: the music player with iPod (2001), the smartphone with the iPhone (2007) and the tablet with the iPad (2010). If you look at it, all Apple essentially did was to simplify existing technologies while the more powerful. Televisions today are in dire need of simplification and Apple is perhaps the only company that can successfully reinvent television.
