Exclusive : Apple iPhone 4S

http://cdn.itproportal.com/photos/apple_iphone_4s_4_display.jpgApple has no plans to sell its latest handset, the iPhone 4S on pay as you go for the foreseeable future according to an industry insider who wishes to remain anonymous.

Although she didn't give any reason why that would be the case, we suspect that demand continually outstripping supply means that Apple has no interest for now in selling its top of the range handset via third parties on PAYG.

The delivery time frame for any iPhone 4S purchased from Apple's website is currently up to 14 days which hints at some serious demand/supply inequalities.

The company announced earlier this week that it has sold more than four million iPhone 4S in around 72 hours, making it one of the fastest selling consumer electronics products ever.

As it stands, there's no incentive for Apple to sell a PAYG iPhone 4S, especially since Apple upsells the iPhone 4S by enticing customers to buy accessories (casings) or added services when checking out.

Expect a PAYG version to be available next year as Apple seeks to keep the sales momentum going.
