NEW XBOX 360 LAUNCH IN 2013

Posted by VdoCity Friday, October 21, 2011

It can only be in our sixth year of a supposed life cycle of ten years, but if reports are to be believed, it could be a statement of the new Xbox console in 2013.
The console, now in its seventh revision of Xbox 360 since its original release back in late 2005, is still strong, with high hit titles such as Call of Duty franchise continues to push hardware sales. Even the launch of Sony Playstation 3 did not dent the stellar figures of the Xbox 360 sales, and the arm of Microsoft's game is one of the team stand-out successes Redmond, after the original Xbox was considered in general a failure.

The reports from chip makers and middleware software companies now suggest that the next Xbox, Microsoft decides to call it, could hit shelves as early as 2013. To get the machine in time for the holidays, that would mean that Microsoft would announce its new hardware at E3 2013 (or 2012 maybe?) - Less than two years away. This window may look a little less - to go from announcement to release six months - until you remember that the Xbox 360 went through a similar cycle truncated.

Multiple sources throughout the industry, manufacturers of processor chips for enterprise middleware, have said they hope to develop the console to be fully revealed at E3 in 2013, months before its release. The collection of data points in 2013 to launch the system in all major regions in early 2014 but remains a possibility.

Microsoft shows no sign of Xbox 360 put out to pasture yet. Testers are soon to receive a new dashboard update for testing, with new video content providers coming on board and the search for Bing to be added to the growing list of integrated features Kinect.

The Xbox 360 is still the best selling games console on the market, beating the Nintendo Wii than in September. With results so, Microsoft is a need to rush to market its new console?

Nintendo is the first of the three major players to launch a new console, Wii U scheduled to be released next year. In order to bring Xbox 360 and PS3 level graphics, if not better, the world of Wii motion games, Nintendo will be hoping they can get ahead of their two major competitors on this occasion.
