This is why the iPhone will always have a 3.5 inch screen

http://images.tipb.com/images/stories/2010/05/iphone_4.pngHere's a little tidbit that just discovered, and everything is about the size of the iPhone screen. More specifically, this is why the iPhone screen remains 3.5 inches across its diagonal, while most Android, and even your Windows 7 (Super Duper last special edition series of 7) terminals are becoming more sports screen dimensions.

iPhone

The revelation comes from Dustin Curtis, a designer who has been spending some time with Galaxy II S Samsung Android phone, with its huge 4.21-inch screen. Apparently, the reason Apple iPhones are smaller all down to how to use the device with one hand, and more to the point where it reaches a thumb.

When you first see a phone with a screen of 4 inches or more, it looks like a much better experience. I thought it was a technical decision, and could be, but since the switch to an Android phone - a Samsung Galaxy S II, the "best Android phone can be purchased anywhere" - 15 days ago, I've noticed another aspect huge negative larger screens: Hold the phone with one hand, I can not reach the other side of the screen with your thumb.

Instead, Curtis said that when using an iPhone, no problems getting through the screen and happily tap away on the opposite side to where he puts his palm. This actually makes sense, and gels and my own personal experience with smartphones.

In recent months I have been lucky enough to get my hands on a different phone for a game, and two of them looked much bigger screen than my iPhone 4. The two smartphones I'm thinking is the Samsung Nexus S, and HTC HD7 (phone Windows 7).

Both screens are quite large - the Nexus S comes with a 4-inch screen, while the HD7 is even greater at a whopping 4.3 inches.

In the case of phones, I tried to use their huge screens correctly. All this, get to the notification box on the S Nexus proven to work hard for me, although I must confess, I have smaller hands considering I am a man of 29 years of age. But the point still stands.

The HD7, so I felt great in general. The case of creaky building does not really help here, either.

But I digress. Will Apple decide to go with a 3.5 inch screen, due to ergonomics, rather than follow the example of competition are convinced that bigger is better?

It is possible, and if true, do not expect to see a larger screen that comes with the iPhone in the short term.
