Can not seem to be more than a couple of weeks without breaking Apple rumors to another, well, a rumor. We just let the dust settle in our recently started opening boxes 4S iPhone, but the iPad 3 claims have already begun to circulate with alarming frequency.
Apple iPad 2
The latter is a new riff on an old theme. I remember when we would get an iPad 2 with a higher screen resolution iMac rival? Well, it is no longer the case with the iPad 2 obviously has to happen with Pad 3, right?
The last screen associated with iPad 3 rumor revolves around the 2048 × 1536 panel have heard a lot about the preparations for the iPad 2 announcement. This time, Brooke Crothers of CNET believes that, lo and behold, the packaging pixels in a 9.7-inch screen is proving somewhat problematic for partners of Apple.
Perhaps we simply do the iPad 3 large 27inches?
The closest the iPhone screen manufacturers such as LG Display and Samsung can get is 2048 x 1536 resolution display, the source said. That's a 264 PPI, PPI twice the 132 in the iPad 2.
But if manufacturers can do in the volumes that demand for Apple is the question. "They have plans to produce 2048 × 1536 screens. From November. But these are just plans at this time," the source said, referring to LG and Samsung.
"It's not just a matter of doing. That, of course, you can do. The challenge is to do a lot of them," said the source. "This is a quantum leap in pixel density. This has not been done before."
Just to put massive 2048 × 1536 resolution in perspective, the 27inch iMac packs a screen is three times the size of the iPhone, with a resolution of 2560 × 1440. Yes, the aspect ratios are different, but you get the idea - which is a hell of a resolution in the size of an iPad.
If neither Samsung or LG can take the sample at a rate fast enough to sell, no doubt, Apple's huge, there is no plan B.
If manufacturers are unable to achieve the volumes needed for higher resolution, there is an intermediate of 1,600 x 1,200, the source said.
Even a resolution of 1600 × 1200 would be mightily impressive, but Apple can actually produce something with a phenomenal screen hit that magic $ 499 and base-model price point they want? This is potentially a bigger roadblock that the act of making them.
We have another six months or so before we discover what the iPad 3 will be the people, so hold on tight!
